Our Mission in Action
Developmental Disabilities Ministries (DDM) empowers adults with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives through a variety of services. DDM operates 18 group homes across Georgia, providing personalized care and a supportive community. Their Residential Services offer habilitation and day programs, helping residents develop life skills and achieve greater independence. Navigation Services guide families through complex systems like Medicaid Waiver and Social Security, while Church & Community Services assist churches in creating welcoming environments for people with disabilities. DDM puts its mission into action through these initiatives, ensuring every individual reaches their highest potential.

Navigation Services
It can be a lonely and overwhelming place trying to navigate Medicaid Waiver Services, and Social Security Benefits, find support groups, or a church that is welcoming to people with a developmental disability and their families.
DDM is committed to helping families find solutions and resources and providing education to people with I/DD and their families.

Church & Community Services
In response to the growing need of churches for assistance in welcoming people with disabilities, DDM developed the Church Services Department.
This is a resource for churches and all who want to minister to people with special needs and their families.
Workshops
Upon request, staff provide a free workshop for those who want to learn about starting ministries related to people with disabilities (call 770-623-4899 to schedule).
Church Services also works with DDM Facilities Management to encourage churches to adopt mission projects at the various DDM residences.
With locations in Metro-Atlanta, Statham, Augusta, Bainbridge, Forsyth, Manchester and Canton, there are ample opportunities to minister to DDM residents by helping to improve their homes and developing meaningful relationships.
